Alexandra Primary School

Kia ora koutou ma to tatou whānau kura.

Hello to our school family.

Principal's message

Kia ora,

Our school is a place where we hope everyone feels a sense of belonging and self worth. We focus on our core values of Respect, Responsibility and being Ready to Learn. We are also deepening our understanding of how we can live and breath these values through our Maori interpretations of Manaakitanga, Kaitiakitanga and Whakatau te wairua.

Alexandra Primary School is a full primary school.

We have a Junior Hub - Te Pā o Maiora (Years 0-3) and a Senior Hub - Mata-Au te Mauri (Years 4-8).

Our Teachers (kaiako), SENCO (Special Education Coordinator), LSC (Learning Support Coordinator) and Teacher Aides (kaiāwhina) work in a collaborative and creative way, always with the best interests of our learners at heart. We also have other key staff such as our Office Administrator, Caretaker, Gardener and Cleaners.

We believe that the best learning occurs when we have strong relationships between students and teachers; teachers and family/whānau; and school and community.

Our school doors are always open and we hope you feel part of the Alexandra Primary School family.

Ngā mihi nui - Kind regards

Fiona (Fi) Mackley
